Kay has been showing dogs for over 45 years having been born into a handler/breeder family. Her mother and father, Richard and Ida Baum, instilled good values and helped promote ethics in breeding and handling. Her father was a top handler in his time just as her mother was a top breeder under the Moon Valley Boxer kennel name. They taught Kay the proper and ethical way to handle and breed.

For over 20 years Kay has been known for her standard poodle breeding, always striving for excellence in temperment, heath and Quality. Kay is also known for her Chinese Cresteds, a breed with which she became entranced just a few years ago. She quickly became addicted to breed and its wonderful traits. Probably one of the most notable dogs in Kays life and work is the standard Poodle "Caddy"; the love of her life and also a winner of 25 Best in Shows and Winners Dog, Best of Winners, and Best Bred by Exibitor in Show at the Poodle Club of America. "Caddy" taught me the value of a wonderful dog and how to accept victory, as well as defeat.

Combining her breeding and handling seemed only natural as she tends to show quite a few of the dogs she has bred. Having shown at some of the most prestegious shows in the world it has been Kays honor to win over 50 best in shows on a variety of breeds. Kay took best of variety with Ch. Brighton that's my girl who also had 8 Best in Shows to her credit with Kay as well. Ch. Vancrofts Prime time with Kay took Best of Breed at the American Boxer Club National; as well as winning the top 20 and having 4 Best in Shows to his credit.

With the help of her friends and clients, Kay strives to present the best possible dogs in the best posible condition all over the world.
